Jagan’s Deeksha is to Prevent Building of New Capital
HYDERABAD: Alleging that YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy has become a roadblock for the development of the state, TDP chief and AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today called upon party activists to protest against the two-day deeksha of Jagan in the new capital city area.
The chief minister had held a videoconference with the ministers and legislators before leaving for Anantapur district to participate in “Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru” program. He charged the YSRCP chief with resorting to deeksha to prevent building of new capital city for the state. He also accused Jagan of hatching a conspiracy and supporting TRS in the MLC elections that gave room for apprehensions. Naidu reported to have discussed the strategy for AP MLC elections and asked in-charge ministers to take the responsibility.
Naidu also made it clear that adequate water would be provided to Rayalseemaafter completion of the Pattiseema project in the next six to seven months.
Participating in “Janmabhoomi” program in Anantapur district, the chief minister interacted with Gotuluru village farmers. He said four check dams would be constructed across Chitravati River, and farmers would be provided with irrigation equipment with 90 percent subsidy. (NSS)
