Jagan writes to PM on IDS 2015

Hyderabad: YS Jaganmohan Reddy, YSRCP president and Opposition leader in Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi complaining against AP Chief Minister for indulging in loose talk on the Income Declaration Scheme (IDS), 2015.

Naidu and his cabinet colleagues have been bandying around the figures as they like. Naidu said about Rs 13,000 crores of black money was declared in Hyderabad, the highest for a city in the country. He hinted that out of this amount Rs 10,000 crores belonged to a political leader. His cabinet colleagues had made an allegation by naming Jagan.

The Opposition leader has requested the Prime Minister to make the details public so that the kind of innuendos being publicized by Naidu and others would be exposed. Jagan reminded the PM of the booklet the YSRCP had published and circulated in AP and Delhi saying that Chandrababu Naidu had made more than Rs 1.5 lakh crores in the first two years in office and demanded that a CBI probe be ordered. He said Naidu is under the impression that the central government would not institute any inquiry as he is part of the NDA.

Jagan further said, Naidu has been managing to get a stay order whenever something came up in courts of law. Even in the case of ‘note for vote’ where his voice was recorded while he was talking to the nominated MLA in Telangana State Assembly, whom he wanted to bribe through TTDP MLA Revant Reddy, was stalled by getting a stay order from Hyderabad High Court. AP Chief Minister is confident that he can manage to stall investigations into his corruption charges. While indulging in rampant corruption himself, he mouths pious statements of virtue and values. Jagan has reiterated the need to probe the corrupt practices of Naidu.

Vundavalli to FM: Declare names

In the meanwhile, former Member of Parliament representing Rajamahendravaram Vundavalli Arun Kumar wrote a letter to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley asking him to supply the information to him also just as he supplied to AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

He informed Jaitley that Naidu has been talking to the media making all kinds of allegations. He said Naidu had told the media persons that out of Rs 13,000 crores declared under IDS-2015, Rs 10,000 crores was declared by YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Arun Kumar said Naidu would not have made the statement without authentic information. Union Finance Ministry must have given Naidu the relevant information based on which the senior chief minister was talking. Arun Kumar asked Jaitley to give him the same information he had provided to Naidu.

Since the declared principle of not leaking the information of the individuals who declared their income and the actual amount of income declared was violated either by the Income Tax department or the Finance Ministry, the same information could be given to him. Vundavalli has asked the FM to declare the names of the persons who declared their incomes under the IDS-2015.
