Jagan says TD will draw blank if polls are held now
ANANTAPUR: YSRCP president Y S Jagan mohan Reddy said here on Thursday that the ruling Telugu Desam party would draw a blank and its candidates would forfeit their deposits if Assembly elections are held in Andhra Pradesh now. The YSRCP would sweep the elections just like the Aam Admi Party did in Delhi where it won 67 out of 72 seats.
Addressing a gathering on the fifth day of his “Rytu Bharosa Yatra” in Anantapur district, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy said the farmers did not repay loan arrears as they were expecting Mr. Chandrababu Naidu to fulfill his promise of waiving off their loans. As the result of the default in repayment of loans, the interest on the loans had steeply increased. The Chief Minister was solely responsible for this situation. He also said DWCRA women were agitating for not waiving of their loans.
Mr. Reddy further said that though the banks had fixed a target to disburse Rs 57,000 crore loans to farmers, they could disburse only Rs 13,000 crore. (NSS)
