Jagan Goes Hard, Keeps The TDP In Defence
Amaravati: The YSR Congress Chief and Leader of Opposition Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is going tough, day-by-day, targeting his rival and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. His statements during the election campaign in Nandyala are aggressive hitting hard and even below the belt. Naidu is the only target of Jagan Mohan Reddy during his election speeches.
This aggressiveness had put the TDP leadership in defence. The TDP leaders who have been hitting Jagan Mohan Reddy hard for all these years accusing him of corrupt and man in waiting to be jailed, are now rallying together to counter his remarks and protect their leader.
The TDP leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu, have been hitting Jagan Mohan Reddy even below the belt, both in Assembly and outside. They have been using every occasion to call him a criminal, though cases in hearing and investigation stage, while cases against the co-accused bureaucrats are being quashed in the court.
There was not a single day in the last four years where the TPD leaders abstained from calling Jagan Mohan Reddy a criminal and an evil force. Such comments are on records in the Assembly. Be it an official programme or a party programme, the TDP leaders never started it and never concluded it without hurling abuses at Jagan Mohan Reddy. Right from the chief minister to the leader at the booth level, the abuses were a repeat and all about corruption and faction.
The 2014 election campaign had seen the TDP leaders listing the CBI charges and speaking about Rs 1 lakh crore corruption scam against him and his faction politics in Rayalaseema.
In fact, this campaign has turned the voters of Visakhapatnam to defeat his mother Vijayamma in the Lok Sabha elections, while the younger generation was misled and opted against him turning the election in favour of the TDP.
Now, with Jagan Mohan Reddy launching a hard-hitting tirade against Chandrababu Naidu, using phrases like “nothing wrong if Naidu is shot in the middle of the road” or “nothing wrong if hanged in public”, all for his failures to fulfil the election promises, the TDP leaders are forced to run to the media across the state countering him and defending their leader. The aggressiveness of Jagan Mohan Reddy had thus put the TDP leaders in defence.
While it is for the people, particularly the voters of Nandyala, to approve or disapprove of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s comments, it is clear that the TDP, which has been throwing mud on Jagan Mohan Reddy for all these years, is now busy washing their leaders’ clothes.
