Is it wrong to question – Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad, November 14: In connection with the ruckus in the assembly over Revanth Reddy’s question on the double entry of Nizamabad MP (K Kavitha’s) name during the household survey and the suspension of TDP MPs from the house, TDP MLA Revanth Reddy called for a press conference today. He showed videos of assembly proceedings and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s announcements during the household survey regarding the need for every Telangana resident to be present at home to facilitate registrations. Revanth said that he had only asked a question based on newspaper reports, that too during the question hour. It was neither misleading nor disrupting assembly proceedings as is being alleged, he said. “It is a Telangana channel, V6, which showed Kavitha along with her family members giving details of household survey from Banjara Hills. I only asked a question based on proof. I did not use derogatory language. I did not even take Nizamabad MPs name. After the question hour, there were the usual discussions and the next day too when there was discussion on budget, I was side lined. Akbar was brought forth to speak. I even told speaker but was prevented from speaking. My mike was cut and TRS members abused TDP. Even then, we were following parliamentary procedure and Bommidi Sunita invoked point of order with the permission of speaker. However I was not allowed to read out the notice against KTR. And, KCR insisted I apologise. When we protested, we were suspended and they are running the house without us. Is this how it is going to be with TRS at the helm,” Revanth questioned. In this connection, TDP MLAs R Krishnayya, L Ramana and Mothkupalli Narsimhulu met Governor to bring his attention to the issue.
