IPL 2017 final: Pune Supergiant vs Mumbai Indians

While Mumbai Indians are focusing on their third IPL title, Rising Pune Supergiant is aiming at their maiden IPL title.

Hyderabad: Mumbai Indians have reached their fourth final in the Indian Premier League. Now, the team will face Rising Pune Supergiant on Sunday in Hyderabad. If Mumbai Indians win, it will be there third IPL title. Otherwise, it will be a maiden title for Rising Pune Supergiant.

RPS has won against MI in three games in IPL 2017: one in Pune, won by 7 wickets, one in Mumbai, won by 3 wickets, and one in Qualifier 1, won by 20 runs.

Both the skippers, Steven Smith of RPS and Rohit Sharma of MI, are in great form and a plus to their teams. Sharma has had a modest IPL season with 309 runs at 23.76 run rate, while Smith has around 421 with about 40 run rate. They both are capable of turning the game with their performances.

The other key players that the game hinges on and will be looked at closely are Rahul Tripathi, Manoj Timary, and MS Dhoni from RPS and Parthiv Patel, Kiron Pollard, and Krunal Pandya from MI.

The game depends on the performances of all the players, but the top players are expected to deliver at this crucial time. If RPS continues its winning streak against MI, it will be its first IPL win.
