India 248/6 At Stumps On Day 2
Dharmasala: India was 248 for six wickets at the end of second day of the fourth Test match against Australia. The visitors made 300 runs in its first innings.
Opener Lokesh Rahul played well and scored 60 runs with nine fours and one six. Another opener Murali Vijay was out cheaply at 11 runs when he was bowled Josh Hazlewood and caught by Mathew. Cheteshwar Pujara has made 57 runs with six fours. He took 151 balls to make the modest score. Ajinkya Rahane, who is leading the team in the absence of captain Virat Kohli, has hit 46 runs in 104 balls through seven fours and one six. He was bowled by Nathan Lyon and caught by Steven Smith. Middle order batsman Karun Nair did go beyond five runs.
Ace bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has made 30 runs in 49 balls by hitting four fours. Wriddhiman Saha with 10 runs and Ravindra Jadeja with 16 were at the crease at stumps.
Nathan Lyon was the most successful Australian bowler who took four wickets by giving away 67 runs. Josh Hazlewood and Pat Commins took one wicket each.
