In-patient facilities at Bibinagar NIMS soon
Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy informed the Assembly on Friday that efforts are on to develop Bibinagar NIMS Hospital on par with that of NIMS in Hyderabad. He asserted that the hospital is getting ready with all facilities, equipment and staff and in-patient services will be launched in three to four months.
Replying to queries of members P Sekhar Reddy, K Prabhakar Reddy and others on the delay of work at Bibinagar NIMS, during Question Hour, Lakshma Reddy said there were some problems with regard to construction of buildings. Now, the issue is settled after talking to the concerned contractor, he clarified. Stating that out-patient services are getting huge response from public, the minister said the NIMS on completion will cater to the health needs of six districts.
The Health Minister further said that during a board meeting it was decided to upgrade the NIMS with 650 beds of super specialty hospital with 21 departments, attach post graduate institute, and run a medical college with 100 under- graduate seats. He said the government is trying to launch in-patient services with 220 beds in the hospital. -NSS
