Hyderabad will become a Global City: KCR

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao today said that a master plan would be implemented to make Hyderabad a global city that sans garbage and avoid traffic snarls by using latest signaling system used in Dallas, U.S.A.
Inaugurating a orientation program for Swacch Telangana and Swath Hyderabad here, Rao said that the program would begin on May 16. Swacch Telangana schedule will be notified to all participants by May 10, and some 35,835 workers will be involved in the program, he said.
There is a need for providing permanent shelter for two-lakh poor living in the city, he said. When I visited IDH Colony, where housing construction for the poor is going on, I was able to see the immense pleasure on the faces of the poor, he said.
The government’s aim is to help the poor have self-respect through housing facility. Hyderabad is grown in an unscientific manner and the master plan would make some additions and deletions to make the city more beautiful destination, he said.
Rao said that he would give 50 -lakh rupees for each team to develop the city on par with international standards. He felt that a little inspiration would have great impact on the poor to explore opportunities and make a better living through timely succor from the government. (NSS)
