High-Level Review on Industrial Policy
HYDERABAD: To give final touches to the much-hyped new industrial policy, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao on monday held a high-level review meeting with principal secretaries of all departments. Rao will announce the hassle-free new industrial policy on June 7 in the presence of industry bigwigs, MNCs and business honchos.
In a related development the chief minister has issued orders giving 1.60 lakh acres of land to Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) enabling it to allot the land to the industries and businesses coming forward with investments. The Chief Minister has taken a decision to declare the new industrial policy in the first week of next month after giving final shape to it.
He expressed pleasure at the speedy preparation of the policy and appreciated the officials for their efforts.
The industrial policy is first of its kind in the country to offer all permissions in just 15 days to the industries, companies, businesses, startups and entrepreneurs to set up their shop and expand. For the purpose the chief minister constituted a chasing cell with CMO to provide transparent services of giving permissions avoiding corruption. It may be recalled here that the chief minister recently appointed a lady official Shantha Kumari to monitor the work at the chasing cell.
Rao stated that TSIIC would allot the land to the industries and companies for their businesses. It is the responsibility of the government to provide facilities, such as water, power and land, KCR said. (NSS)
