Health minister reviews dengue situation
Hyderabad: Reacting to reported dengue deaths in some villages in Khammam district and other areas in Telangana, the State Government has directed officials to take immediate steps to contain the possible spread of dengue and other viral fevers in Khammam villages such as Bonakal, Ravinutala and Govindapuram. Health Minister Dr Cherlakola Lakshma Reddy held a high-level review meeting at Secretariat on Saturday and took stock of the situation. He asked the health officials to send specialist doctors and staff to attend to patients and provide them immediate medication. He also asked them to stay put in the villages and prevent possible spread of dengue and other fevers.
