Gurukula Teacher recruitment notification serves none, says Kodandaram
Hyderabad: The Telangana JAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram has said that the teacher job aspirants are feeling depressed with the announcement of Gurukula Teacher recruitment. He said that there were four lakh youths who had completed B Ed but not even one lakh aspirants were benefited with the issue of Gurukula Teachers Recruitment notification. Justice will not be done with the Gurukula Teachers notification, he said and lamented that the State government has not issued a proper employment notification yet. He reiterated that he will stage a huge dharna with unemployed youth at Dharna Chowk at Indira Park on February 22.
OU students oppose eligibility criteria
Meanwhile, tension prevailed on Osmania University campus on Wednesday as the students burnt an effigy of the State government alleging that it allotted Gurukula Teacher posts more to women candidates. They expressed anger at the the eligible criteria for the candidates (Those who passed in first class in degree, were only eligible for the posts). They demanded the State government to revoke its decision immediately. The Nirudyoga JAC also took up Gurukula Deeksha in front of the Arts College on Wednesday. The JAC made it clear that they will not stop their fight till the government takes back its decision on eligibility criteria. The unemployed youth also staged dharnas in front of the CM Camp office and TSPSC office demanding to withdraw the compulsory first class degree for eligibility. -NSS
