‘Guru’ bags clean ‘U’, to hit screens on March 31
Hyderabad: Victory Venkatesh is one such hero who doesn’t bother about his image. He readily accepts to play the father of two or three children if the script demands. Films like ‘Drushyam’ and ‘Gopala Gopala’ proved this. In his latest and upcoming movie ‘Guru’, Venkatesh is playing the role of a middle-aged person, who is a coach for boxing champions.
The film is the remake of a successful Bollywood film ‘Saala Khadoos’ which was also a remake of a Tamil film. Surprisingly, the Tamil original and the Hindi remake were also directed by Sudha Kongara, a Telugu woman, who has again wielded the megaphone for the Telugu version as well. In the Hindi version, Madhavan played the character and Venkatesh is donning the role of boxing coach. In order to get a rugged look, Venkatesh grown beard and did a lot of workouts to have a toned body. Venkatesh is playing the role of an arrogant coach in the movie. The audio of the film was launched recently and got a positive response.
The director completed all the formalities and submitted the first copy to the censor board. The Censor Board members have watched the film and awarded a clean ‘U’ certificate. The release of the film was pre-poned to March 31, according to the film unit members. Santosh Narayanan of Kabali-fame scored music for the movie.
