Govt jittery over facing opposition: Bhatti
Hyderabad: “The State government’s announcement on suspension of opposition members in the House if they entered the well of the House, is against the spirit of democracy. The prior announcement on suspension clearly shows that the State government was jittery in facing the opposition parties. The government is not ready to face the opposition parties and hence they were making such statements”, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said while revealing their party’s strategy to be adopted in the Assembly.
He said at CLP office here on Thursday that his party has decided to move a no-trust motion as part of its strategy to be implemented in the House in case the government failed to answer their questions in the House based on situation. Congress has exercised rigorously to pull the State government on various public issues in the Legislative Assembly and Council at CLP office.
After the meeting, Bhatti Vikramarka addressed the media at Assembly media point along with party whip Sampath Kumar. Bhatti said that the party would raise in the House mainly the impact of demonetisation of big notes on people in the State. Loan waiver scheme, fees reimbursement scheme, employment, SC, ST sub-plan funds, employees PRC issue and the bad condition of Hyderabad city would be raised in the House for discussion, Bhatti said.
Alleging that the Chief Minister is habituated to pass the time by telling stories and not doing anything to the people, Bhatti said that Congress would move along with all parties. Bhatti questioned the Chief Minister to tell as to how he will become a democrat if he dubs opposition parties, which pulls the government on public issues, as anarchists. -NSS
