“Go back to your own country”: Sikh Man shot in His Arm

Kent (Washington State): Kent city police is looking for a man who had shot a Sikh man, working on his car at his driveway, in his arm followed by an altercation. Before firing the gunman had shouted at the victim to “go back to your own country.”

The incident took place in Kent, Washington State, at around 8:00 PM Friday. The gunman was wearing a mask covering the lower half of his face at the time of the incident, according to the Kent police.

The victim, a 39-year-old Deep Roy a Sikh man, has been discharged from the hospital, according to the Seattle Times. The victim described the gunman as 6-foot-tall white man.

The Kent police told the Times that they were early in their investigation and that they are taking the case seriously.

The shooter in the Kansas incident, where Kuchibhotla Srinivas was shot and killed, was uttering the words to the same effect of “Go back to your country,” before he shot Kuchibhotla. The shooter had even mistaken him for a Muslim.
