GHMC opens three more Rs 5 Meal centers
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation inaugurated three Rs 5 Meal centers on Wednesday.
Inaugurating a meals center near Fever Hospital in Nallakunta, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin said the GHMC was spending Rs 30 crores on the meals scheme. The scheme, the brain-child of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, was being implemented for the poor, he said.
While Khairatabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy inaugurated a center at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Centre at Banjara Hills, Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha Khadri declared open another center near Government Maternity Hospital at Petlaburj. Deputy Mayor along with Ghansibazaar corporator Renu also had Rs five meals. All local representatives and leaders attended the functions. –NSS
