GHMC chief urges youth to draw inspiration from Swami Vivekananda

Hyderabad:  B Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC, interacted with students of St. Francis Degree College for Women. 

Explaining about the initiatives taken up by the GHMC as part of the Swachh Abhiyan Mission,  he said the GHMC has distributed 44 lakh bins, introduced 2,000 Swachh Autos, deployed 27,000 sanitation workers and improved public toilets.

On the occasion of National Youth Day, Janardhan Reddy called upon the youth to draw inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s clarion call “Arise, Awake and Stop Not Till Your Goal is Achieved”. He called upon the students to participate in the Swachh Survekshan in the city.     

The students showed keen interest in interacting with the Commissioner and finding more about the work GHMC is carrying out in the city.  For the Commissioner it was a refreshing experience to meet and interact with students, who are conscious of contributing to the city. The GHMC Commissioner also spoke to Sister Dr Christene, Principal, St Francis College, Dr Venkat Ramana, AMOH, and Major Shiva Kiran from United Federation of RWAs. –NSS
