Gandhi Hospital stinks as workers go on strike
Hyderabad: The strike by sanitation employees working in Gandhi Hospital entered the second day. The workers went on strike as they were not paid salaries for two months. Added to this, the officials recently announce that wages to 200 workers would be slashed. The salary of each worker is Rs. 7,500 and the officials declared that they would slash nearly four thousand rupees.
This angered the workers. They served notice 15 days ago that they would go on strike if the salaries are slashed. However, they are also concerned about their unpaid salaries. They are demanding the immediate payment of the backlogs and withdrawal of the decision to slash the salaries. As the sanitation workers went on strike, the surroundings and premises of Gandhi Hospital are stinking causing inconvenience to the patients and their attendees.
