Gajwel will become Educational Hub: Kadiam
HYDERABAD: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today said Telangana would be the first State in the country in the field of education. He also asserted that Gajwel town in Medak district will be transformed into an education hub with an investment of 100 crore rupees.
Talking to mediahere on Wednesday, the Srihari said the TRS government was committed to keep its promises in a phased manner. The Government, he said, would spend Rs 100 crores toward setting up best quality colleges and schools. The minister examined some places in Gajwel town for proposed government colleges and schools and other educational institutions. Srihari, who also holds Education portfolio, said Gajwel will be made the most sought after destination soon in Telangana State.
The State Government was making vigorous efforts for setting up educational institutions with quality and standards. The Deputy CM’s visit to Gajwel town assumes importance as Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has already announced sops to it.
Irrigation Minister Harish Rao also promised to transform the district into a hub of education besides focusing on IT. (NSS)
