Foundation laid for VIT Amaravati
Amaravati: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has appreciated efforts of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has succeeded in setting up the prestigious Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) here.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony of VIT, on Thursday, a private institute founded by educationist and politician Viswanathan, he said agriculture and industry are two eyes for development. Venkaiah Naidu said 32,000 students will get technological education in VIT. He said, “In spite of competition in the world, we should not forget our mother tongue and you should be expert in other languages”. He exhorted NRIs to invest in the state. The programme was attended by the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues besides Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao.
