Former TDP MP Joins TRS: Big Jolt For TTDP

Former MP Ramesh Rathod is a valuable catch for the TRS. With him and other leaders joining the ruling party, the TDP is as good as finished in Adilabad, once its forte.

Hyderabad: At a time when Mahanadu of the TDP in Andhra Pradesh is in full swing with festive atmosphere at Vizag, the party faced a big jolt in Telangana with former MP and party Politburo member Ramesh Rathod joining the TRS.

Ramesh Rathode at Pragathi Bhvan said on Monday that he was inspired by CM KCR’s schemes and TRS ideology before a pink shawl was presented to him by KCR.

With this defection, the TDP has lost its base in Adilabad district. The TTDP is left with the party working president Revanth Reddy and president L. Ramana who are trying to infuse oxygen into the party.

Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao’s mediation worked well for Rathode and the TDP leaders in Adilabad district, once a forte of the TDP, is cleared and adored pink colour.
