First Brazilian restaurant opens in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chama Gaucha, Hyderabad’s first Brazilian restaurant formally opened on Saturday. 

The poolside restaurant that offers an excellent view of Hitec City will offer traditional Brazilian cuisine handpicked by expert chefs of Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City. On the opening day, the restaurant hosted a party at which several food lovers and guests including cine actress Nitya Naresh were present.

Krishna Kumar, General Manager, Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City, explained that Chamas, translated from Portuguese meaning flames, and Gauchos (Brazilian cowboys) came together to give the restaurant its rough, fiery, warm and woody theme that is Chama Gaucha. The restaurant, with its welcoming décor, amazing show kitchen with the Churrascaria grill, warm lighting and pool view makes it a great destination for foodies, he said.

Its special meat roasting method is based on the centuries-old Gaucho tradition, known as Churrasco. It originated in Southern Brazil, where Gauchos (Brazilian cowboys) pierced different types of meat and grilled them over open flamed pits. The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of imported meats to each diner individually right at the table.

Pravinda Meshram, F&B Manager, said the Churrascaria presents an extraordinary experience in a vibrant ambiance with a live band playing hot Samba rhythms. Some Lebanese dishes too will be served, she said.
