Firing Outside British Parliament, 12 Injured, One Assailant Shot
London: There was firing outside the British Parliament on Wednesday afternoon in which 12 persons were injured. One assailant was shot at by the police. A high alert was sounded and the Parliament building was locked. The House stands suspended.
A spokesperson of the London Metro Police said a police officer was injured. A policeman was reportedly stabbed inside the Parliament.
There were two assailants with fire arms. They came to the Parliament in a car which rammed into a railing.
There were 200 MPs at the time of firing. The leader of House of Commons confirmed that Prime Minister Theresa May is safe. The situation is under control. Armed police have entered the Parliament building.
