FIR against Kapil Sharma, Irrfan Khan
Mumbai: FIR registered at Oshiwara police station against actor Irrfan Khan and comedian Kapil Sharma for alleged unauthorised construction.
Against Kapil Sharma, who has kicked up a row through his bribe tweet, Oshiwara Police has registered an FIR for alleged unauthorised construction of his flat in suburban Goregaon.
Abhay Jagtap, a sub-engineer at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had lodged a complaint at the Oshiwara police station in this regard. In the complaint, Abhay Jagtap had alleged that Kapil Sharma, who owns a flat in DLH Enclave in Goregaon, had violated the norms. Similar complaint was filed against actor Irrfan Khan. Besides Kapil Sharma and Irrfan Khan, 15 other flat owners are facing the charge.
Kapil Sharma had kicked up an online controversy last week by alleging that he had been asked to pay a bribe of Rs 5 lakh by an official of BMC. The civic body, in turn, claimed that the actor had flouted norms in his Versova office building and his apartment in suburban Goregaon.
Earlier, in the same issue Sharma took a jab at PM Narendra Modi in his tweet, saying, “I am paying Rs 15 Cr income tax from the last 5 year n still I have to pay Rs 5 lakhs bribe to the BMC office for making my office. Yeh hain aapke achhe din? @narendramodi (sic).”
