Fake job racket: Two Delhi youth held
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Cyber Crime policeA�arrested two persons belonging to Laxminagar,A�New Delhi,A�for floating a fake company, a�?AS Group Consultancy,a�? in the national capital and cheating job aspirants in connivance with four others.
According to police, the main accused Rahul Kaurav, 23, and Arjun Singh, 22, of West Guru Angadh Nagar, Laxminagar, New Delhi, called complainant Shravan Kumar Reddy of Suraram Colony, Jeedimetla, in November and informed him that he was selected for a job in Indigo Airlines and asked him to pay Rs 21,150 towards security deposit and sent him a PayTM bar code.
The police said believing the message, Shravan Kumar Reddy checked his mail and sent Rs 21,150 on November 25 and Rs 12,000 on November 28, 2016. Later, another person called him from 9654305263 and introduced himself as HR Indigo Airlines and sent Account No 3564651030 of Canara Bank in the name of Malkit Kaur and asked him to pay amounts step by step. In this way, the complainant paid Rs 1,84,770.A�
Later, when there was no response from the accused to his calls, Sharavan got doubts and lodged a complaint with the Cyberabad Cyber Crime police on January 3, 2017 detailing the transactions. The police launched investigation and traced the accused. A team led by E. Venkat Reddy, Inspector, SIs K. Srinivas and Vijayavardhan went toA�New DelhiA�and apprehended the accused and produced them before theA�XVI MM Court, Kukatpally, for judicial remand. -NSS
