Evidence against Jagdeesh Reddy : Ponnam
NALGONDA: Congress leader and Karimnagar former MP Ponnam Prabhakar today made it clear that he was ready to prove corruption charges made by him against Telangana minister Jagdeesh Reddy.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, along with Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy and DCC president Bikshamaiah Goud, while proceeding to appear before Suryapet First Class Magistrate Court, Ponnam Prabhakar demanded that the State government constitute an Inquiry Committee in this regard. Pointing out that Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao had dismissed then deputy chief minister Rajaiah from his Cabinet even before the allegations were proved, Ponnam said. He pointed out that it was curious to note that the Chief Minister had dinner at Jagdeesh Reddy’s residence in Suryapet at a time when “we are challenging that we will prove the corruption charges against Jagdeesh Reddy”.
He also questioned Jagdeesh Reddy as to why he filed a case in Suryapet Court on February 24 instead of proving his innocence. Ponnam made it clear that he was not afraid of such tactics of the minister.
Meanwhile, the Suryapet Court adjourned the case to June 3. (NSS)
