  • Big demonstation by women in support of TRS candidate Sujata
  • The fight is only for a big  difference in majority

  • Congress leaders stay put in the constituency, work hard

Hyderabad: The election campaign in  Dubbaka  has been  slowly gaining momentum overcoming the thunderstorms and floods  all over Telangana. For the first time, after general elections, there is a big debate going on in various circles in Telangana about this by-election with heavy bettings on result and the majority for the wining party.

BJP candidate spares no effort

All the way from Hyderabad to Dubbaka, publicity campaign vehicles in different modes were seen moving towards the battle field, police checking points ,flow of state leaders in convoys, everything that has created  political ‘hungama.’  It’s a litmus test for all the main parties,  the TRS, the BJP and the Congress, an analyst commented a few days back. BJP’s candidate is testing his fate for the 3rd time in assembly elections. He is vigorously campaigning  across all the seven mandals  in the constituency. BJP campaign is focused on door to door mode and social media. Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy, Party State president Bandi Sanjay, National OBC Morcha president Dr. Lakshman,  national vice-president D. K. Aruna, MP Soyam baburao, former MP Jitender Reddy,  Babumohan have been campaigning for the BJP.

Congress very serious this time

Congress party, for the first time,  putting up a remarkable show for winning the election and prove that they can stop the TRS juggernaut. Unity among the seniors was visible during the campaign with Uttam Kumar Reddy, Revanth reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, V.Hanumantha rao all finishing their first round of the campaign. Thanks to new AICC in-charge of T State, Manickam Tagore, who energised  the campaigning by motivating the  leaders stressing the importance of win for the party in the by-poll. Party fielded C. Srinivas Reddy, son of late Muthyam Reddy who won 3 times on Congress and later joined TRS. Srinivas Reddy joined congress after TRS denied him ticket.

Harish Rao makes all  the difference

The huge gathering of women at Dubbaka yesterday for TRS party campaign in presence of T.Harish Rao, State Finance Minister, clearly reflected the mood of the voters.  Harish rao was successful in sending the message that only the TRS can fulfil the promises and implement the  welfare schemes. He came down strongly on centre and BJP for not discharging its minimum responsibility in releasing funds due to Telangana State and releasing funds or grants for panchayats. TRS is the only party which had completed pending or new irrigation projects, left unattended  by the Congress in the past 70 years. TRS government had allotted  Rs. 270 crores to Panchayaths for their development. The State government  will develop Dubbaka with agro seeding and skill development centres, Harish Rao said at a public rally amid full-thrated slogans . Five of the seven  mandals in Dubbaka constituency are in Siddipet district on which the finance minister has full control. That is making huge difference for opposition. As Siddipet represented by Harish Rao and Gajwel by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao, the whole area is like a fort for the TRS.

Women inclined towards TRS

Female voters are strongly tilted towards TRS party for factors like sympathy, pension, and development ushered in by ruling party. Male voters have faith in Harish Rao and also have  sympathy for party’s candidate whose husband Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy was a popular politician who won four times in assembly elections. Out of 7 mandals, Dubbaka, Chegunta, Doultabad and Raipol, show  a clear edge for the  ruling party on the ground level. The only factor which is making difference is Harish Rao who has been coming up with intense strategies with a view  to touching  the majority mark of one lakh votes, a target set by Telangana CM KCR. Until now TRS won all by polls where Harish Rao worked and Dubbaka is most likely to produce the same result and the only question is that of the majority of victory.
