Denial of appointment with PM an insult to Telangana people: CPI
Hyderabad: CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana has felt that by not getting appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao proved himself nothing and brought an insult to the people of Telangana State.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Narayana alleged that both State and Central governments have no sincerity towards categorization of SCs for reservations. Opining that the categorization of SC would be possible only with movements, Narayana made it clear that he will file another writ in the High Court with proofs about the nexus among political leaders, police officials and slain gangster Nayeemuddin.
It may be recalled that Narayana filed a petition in the High Court seeking CBI inquiry into the Nayeem case as several police officials and political leaders had links with Nayeem and it was not possible to do inquiry impartially by the CBCID.
Narayana addressed a letter to Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and DGP Anurag Sharma in this regard on Sunday.
In the letter, the CPI leader stated he got proofs to prove his allegations and the proofs were the photos published in all newspapers that several police officers were having dinner with Nayeem. He also asked the State government to tell whether the police interrogated any one and the same submitted to the Court or not. If the government failed to interrogate in this direction it will become a mistake on the part of it, he said asking the government to submit the answer to the Court or to him.
CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy demanded that the State government allot funds to SCs and STs on the basis of their population. He opined that announcing schemes without having proper action plan was nothing but deceiving the people. (NSS)
