Death Threats Issued To Naidu And Police By Maoists: AP DGP

The DGP told that all the security measures to protect the leaders and officers that are in the hit list are being taken

Visakhapatnam: Death threats were issued to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and a few police officers after Malkangiri encounter, said DGP N Sambasiva Rao who was on a three- day tour of North Coastal AP. He was speaking to the media and told them that the AP CM and some police officers were on their hit list, he told.

Nearly 31 Maoists were killed in the Malkangiri encounter that took place in October 2016 at Odisha, was a big blow to them. It was a joint operation by Odisha Police and Greyhound team of Andhra Pradesh.

The DGP told that all the security measures to protect the leaders and officers that are in the hit list are being taken.

Speaking to the senior police officers at a meeting, he said that the officers should take advantage of technology to prevent crimes and solve cases.
