Compounder’s Son scored 360/360 in JEE Mains; Says He Kept Phone Away

In a remarkable feat, a student from Udaipur in Rajasthan scored full marks- 360/360 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains held on April 2 for entry into first year B-Tech courses in top rung tech colleges, such as NITs and IIITs across the country.

Kalpit Veerwal, son of a compounder and a schoolteacher, achieved the feet and has become All India Number One.

“It is a happy moment for me to be the topper in JEE Mains, but I am taking it normally and focusing on JEE Advanced,” the 17-year-old said.

He said he did keep away from smartphones considerably.  “I made smart use of smartphones and did not remain on social media sites but used the Internet for gathering information related to studies,” he said.%0
