CM urged to grant prayer break for Muslim staff

Majlis Bachao Tahreek has urged Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to grant 90-minute special break for Muslim government employees to offer Friday prayers. In a letter to the Chief Minister, MBT spokesman Amjed Ullah Khan stated the Friday prayer is obligatory for all Muslims, who have to visit a mosque and offer prayer from 1 pm to 2 pm. He said the Muslim community will be grateful to him if he accorded the special concession to the Muslim government employees.
