Clarity on Accreditations after MLC elections : Allam Narayana
HYDERABAD: The much-awaited issue relating to Accreditation Cards as well as Health Cards for working journalists in Telangana State is likely to be settled after the ensuing MLC elections. With this, it is clear that Telangana Government is focusing on to give clarity to the issue soon after the elections for the Legislative Council slated to be held on March 16 and results to be out on March 19.
Telangana Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana today called on Government Advisor K V Ramana Chary and held talks with him specially on accreditation cards, health cards and house sites being sought by working journalists. Since eighth month is being passed after achieving statehood, the issues of scribes are yet to be settled. Besides vouching for a speedy decision in this regard, Narayana is learnt to have touched upon with Ramana Chary on other key issue like providing house sites to the scribes, which is the major issue as of now.
Later, Narayana said he discussed journalists’ issues with Ramana Chary and the government is to take a final call after MLC elections. Ramana Chary responded positively to give clarity after the MLC elections in the wake of notification issued. Time and again, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has been making a point that the journalists will get their due for their role in the separate State agitation. It is pertinent to note that IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao recently stated that they would settle all the issues of the journalists and awaiting a nod from the TRS Government in this regard. KTR also asked journalists to come with proposals and total information pertaining to accreditation, health cards, house sites and other benefits. The journalists, who have played a key role in achieving statehood for Telangana have been awaiting the accreditation cards, health cards and a promise that has to be kept with regard to housing facility.
