Civic body move to reunite disturbed families
Hyderabad: As a part of comprehensive community development and to rebuild a healthy society for the future citizens, the GHMC has taken up an initiative under which it proposes to rebuild and reunite the disturbed families, that separated over domestic, social and economic issues.
Members of some self help groups and non-government organizations have informed the GHMC that they are spending a lot of money and time to go around the courts, especially family courts, to solving the issues of disturbed families and many of the NGOs/SHGs have requested the civic body officials to take up these type of issues since maintaining good family relations is part of comprehensive community development.
As per the directions of the GHMC Commissioner, the social activity committees have taken lots of efforts under the guidance of Urban Community Development wing to reach the target audience since January 1, 2017 and more than 281 families have been identified out of which 158 disturbed families have been reunited. To highlight this concept, the GHMC is conducting a counseling session to the families on Wednesday at Rabindrabharathi. -NSS
