Chiru’s 150 to complete 100 days in 50 centres
Hyderabad: After the legendary actors like NTR and ANR, it is only Mega Star Chiranjeevi who earned such a great position. By the time he made his entry into the film industry, he has several senior heroes as competition but he withstood all their competition and made several experiments in dances and fights and created his own style without any filmy background. He had no godfathers in the film industry and he developed on his own.
As Stylish Star Allu Arjun used to say, “Chiranjeevi laid a fantastic blacktopped road and all his family members (All the Mega heroes) are smoothly travelling on the road on Audi kind of costly cars.” Many of his family members including Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Tej, Nagababu, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej and so on shot into fame because of Chiranjeevi. Chiru got attracted towards politics and made a political entry. Realising that politics are not his cup of tea, he returned to the film industry after a gap of nine years.
Director VV Vinayak, who gave him a big hit like ‘Tagore’, again wielded the megaphone for the prestigious 150th film which is the remake of a successful Tamil film ‘Kathi’. He made several changes to the script to suit the Telugu nativity and Mega Star’s stature and mad the film a big hit. The film had created many records and broke many more. At a time when a film could not run for more than two weeks, ‘Khaidi No. 150’ completed 100 days in over 50 centres (in the next two weeks), which is a rare record once again. The film had collected over Rs 160 crore and created a sensation. The film was produced by Ram Charan on the banner of Konidela Productions.
