Charmy Leaves Waving, Smiling Despite Interrogation In Drugs Case

The actress is first among women film celebrities to be interrogated in the month-old infamous drugs case. Implicated in it are also multinational employees, business professionals and school and college students.

Hyderabad: Actress Charmy Kaur was all smiles and waved to the media while leaving the SIT office on Wednesday evening post her interrogation. She, however, left without answering any questions posed by the waiting media.

Significantly, her questioning concluded before 5 pm in keeping with directions of the Hyderabad High Court. Likewise, neither her blood, nail or hair samples were taken. The court had forbidden the Special Investigation Team from collecting such samples with the express consent of the actress.

In addition, Charmy’s interrogation was by women officers in keeping with the court’s directives.

The Special Investigation Team informed the actress that she may have to again come for interrogation, if needed, to which she agreed.

Earlier, the actress had arrived on Wednesday morning directly from the shoot of Paisa Vasool at a private hospital in Kondapur on outskirts of the city. Balakrishna is playing the lead in the movie being directed by Puri Jagannadh.

Charmy is the line producer for this movie. She had recently started a film production company “Puri Connect”, as a joint venture with Puri Jagannadh.

Today is the seventh day of investigation involving Telugu cine celebrities. Those interrogated by the SIT so far are director Puri Jagannadh, cinematographer Syam K Naidu, actors Subbaraju, Tarun and Navdeep, and art director Chinna.

Actress Mumaith Khan is scheduled for questioning by SIT officials on Thursday.
