Chandrababu receives four designs for Amaravati
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrabu Naidu had received four designs for the government offices in the start up area of the new capital Amaravati. The master developer, Norman Foster and Partners from London have submitted the plans to the Chief Minister, who wanted the firm to have similarity in the plan and structures that would reflect the rich heritage of the Telugus.
Receiving the plans the Chief Minister said that the government structures and buildings will be iconic and unique and that all the structures should be build uniformly. The Chief Minister said that the Assembly, High Court buildings and other structures which are to come up in the government block will be unique.
Local architects help and advice should also be considered besides taking advice from national and international persons the Chief Minister said. He further added that Amaravati will be one among the top 5 cities in the world. The new capital city will have the culture, tradition, history and the legacy of the Telugu tradition. The committee set up for studying the culture and heritage aspect will provide necessary suggestion to you, CM told Norman.
People should own the capital city. Their active participation is very important for us. Bring all people together and take their interests and aspirations into consideration. To take people’s advice and suggestion we will use social media platform. A special web portal will be setup to take suggestion from all the Telugu people who are living abroad.Besides this, facebook page, twitter account, instagram, youtube account will be opened for their suggestions and advice.
The Chief Minister has convened a meeting with all ministers, secretaries, and heads of the departments to showcase the concept designs of Norman Foster. The Chief Minister keenly observed the 4 model designs of the government structures which would come up in 900 acres of land.
