HYDERABAD: YSR Congress Party Leader Botcha Satyanarayana hereAon ThursdayAlashed out the TDP leaders for stating that they know who met YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy in a hotel room.
Speaking to the media hereAon Thursday, Botcha alleged that the TDP leaders launched a new drama saying that Jagan met somebody in a hotel in Banjara Hills and termed the allegation as unfortunate.
Demanding that the TDP leaders disclose what happened in the hotel room if they had evidence, Botcha SatyanarayanaAsaid the TDP leaders wrongly thinking that the people in the state would believe such cooked-up stories. He claimed that the people in AP were regretting for being deceived by the TDP leadersa sugarcoated words.
He alleged that the TDP, which purchased votes in Telangana State, was also purchasing votes in Andhra Pradesh State. The TDP was behaving against the spirit of the constitution, he said addingonly if one examines the way the TDP leaders were using Andhra Pradesh police.
He reminded that the YSRCP did not field a candidate because the party has no adequate strength in the MLC elections. He also warned the officials against succumbing to pressure tactics of the TDP leaders.
The officials have to remember that elections would come after every five years, Botcha said, a?the officials have to bow their heads after the change of power center.a? He said the officials were part of the system, and it was not possible to keep the system in track once it went off track. The officials should not take the law into their hands, and there was no objection if they worked as per law, he said.
Responding on Section-8, Botcha SatyanarayanaAsaid he was telling since the beginning that the law, which may be right or wrong, should be implemented. Stating that Section 8 or 9 should be implemented as per the law, he said it would be ridiculous to demand implementation of the section to escape from cash-for-vote case.
Botcha also said the TDP Government, which left everything to the wind for the last one year, has no right to speak on the section. (NSS)
