Bollywood ban Pak actors
New Delhi: In view of the prevailing tensions with Pakistan, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has passed a resolution banning Pakistani actors and technicians from Bollywood until conditions are back to normal on Thursday.
However, IMPPA clarified that those projects in which actors are already involved and shot will not face any problems for its release.
Last week, MNS has issued ultimatum to Pakistani artistes to leave India by September 25, after Uri terror attacks on Indian Army camp.
Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and actor-singer Ali Zafar are prominent people who could be affected by the ban. Fawad Khan acted in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Mahira Khan acted in Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees.
Prominent film maker and IMPPA Vice President Ashok Pandit assured that the ban will be for new upcoming projects but not applicable for films that have already been made.
From music albums to play back singing, there are several prominent Pakistani artistes involved in big-budget projects. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Zafar and Atif Aslam are just a few famous names that will be affected by the ban.
