BJP’s Mega Road Show In Kerala After Onam
Kannur: The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to hold a road show in Kerala over killings of the BJP and the RSS workers and to embarrass the left government. The ‘Mega Road Show’ that’s going to take place after Onam will be attended by top leaders of the party, including party President Amit Shah and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states.
After the gruesome murder of the RSS office bearer last month in Thiruvananthapuram, the BJP has intensified its attack on the Left Front government. The BJP has been accusing the LF government of escalating political violence in the state aimed at crushing the BJP and the RSS.
The Roadshow, which will begin after Onam from Kannur, will proceed to Thiruvananthapuram early next month.
“After Onam, Kerala President Kummanam Rajashekaran will begin a 460-km ‘Padyatra’ from Kannur, probably on September 8, which will culminate at Thiruvananthapuram, after covering 10 districts,” a BJP leader here told a news agency.
“We are giving final shape to the programme, but it is sure that Amit Shah will flag off the yatra and address a huge gathering at its culmination,” he added.
The BJP is also planning to take up the issue of political killings with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), as well as the ST and SC Commission.
Incidentally, the BJP has only one member in the 140-seat Kerala Assembly.
The BJP MLA Rajagopalan told journalists from Delhi that most of their victims were from the SC, ST, and OBC community. He also alleged the left parties that their future is bleak, and that they are eliminating all their enemies.
