BJP’s Expansion In Telangana To Hit TDP

It is a known fact that BJP has decided to strengthen the party in the Southern States. As part of the strategy, BJP has set its eyes on Telangana and is trying to attract as many leaders as possible into the party.

Hyderabad: With BJP national president Amit Shah in the State, the party seems to have determined to shock TDP once again. The Telugu Desam Party has already lost leaders and cadre during Telangana movement and after the bifurcation. Now the stage is being set to woo some of its leaders. The leaders too seem to be ready to leave the cycle for lotus. Instead of choosing ruling TRS like his erstwhile colleagues, he chose BJP, which is an alliance partner. To make the episode more interesting, it is being said that a party leader from Andhra Pradesh is lobbying. The MLA is none other than LB Nagar TDP legislator R. Krishnaiah, and the leader lobbying is Purandheshwari.

It is a known fact that BJP has decided to strengthen the party in the Southern States. As part of the strategy, BJP has set its eyes on Telangana and is trying to attract as many leaders as possible into the party. As part of this, they are targeting the unhappy leaders in other parties and attract them into BJP. They have fixed a perfect timing for joining the party – Amit Shah’s Telangana tour.

According to sources, Purandheshwari met TTDP MLA R Krishnaiah and invited him to the party. The meeting lasted for three hours. However, Krishnaiah did not immediately commit himself, he is reported to have said that he would think about it and get back.

Purandheshwari, who targets Naidu at every given opportunity, meeting a legislator of that party, is heating up the political climate.

Meanwhile, Party national president Amit Shah arrived in the city for a three-day tour in the State with his strategy of strengthening the party. After landing in the Samshabad airport, he directly proceeded to a village in Nalgonda district.

Now, it has to be seen what Krishnaiah would do. As it is, he never criticised BJP vehemently. In view of this, people are guessing that his answer to Purandheswari might be positive.
