Better medical facilities at NIMS: Minister
Hyderabad: Medical & Health Minister C. Lakshma Reddy today said better medical and health services will be provided to patients in the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) hospital.
Inaugurating a new lab on first floor of the hospital on Wednesday, the minister said medical equipments have been bought for Rs 1.60 crore and the State government was spending money for providing better health care facilities to the needy. Later, he inaugurated some other medical equipment in another building of the hospital.
Lakshma Reddy also stressed the need of improving services in the wake of increasing number of patients to the hospital. In view of banning of transaction of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes, the minister urged the managements of government and private hospitals to cooperate with the people as the Centre has felicitated hospitals to accept denominations of these two currency notes till November 11.
NIMS director Dr Manohar and Superintendent Satyanaranala were also present.
