Bar Owner Commits Suicide In City, Shoots A Video Of The Extreme Act

Bar owner Bunty, who was allegedly harassed by money lenders took the extreme step of killing himself, naming five people responsible for his death in a selfie video he shot.

Hyderabad: A bar owner in the city committed suicide and recorded a video of the act on Wednesday. He was identified as Bunty (40), owner of Restro Bar in LB Nagar.

Distraught Bunty, in the selfie video, named many people who drove him to take the step of killing himself. Meanwhile, the police said that he got depressed after the money lenders harassed him of returning their money.

Bunty in his final message alleged that though he was paying off his dues regularly, the money lenders were humiliating him and abusing him again and again in front of his staff and customers.

Naming five persons, he also claimed that these people owed him money, which they refused to return. He also said they were responsible for his suicide.

Sources said that Bunty was beaten up by the accused when he asked them to return his money, just a day before the incident. There were allegations that the accused were henchmen working for a political leader in the area.

Meanwhile, the police said that they have registered a case and were investigating the matter. They said that they were also looking into possible business or financial disputes behind the suicide. Refusing to answer if there was any political pressure, the officials said that they would act firmly.

The police registered a case under section 306 (Abetment to suicide).
