Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Inching Towards 1000 Crore Mark
Hyderabad: SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2. The Conclusion became the highest grossing Indian film worldwide, says a report.
The box office shattering film by crossing the 800 crore mark on Thursday is inching towards 1000 crore mark. It is the first Indian movie that has various total estimates. The local box office trackers say that it has crossed Aamir Khan’s previous record-holder 792 crores behind.
While Deadline revealed the figures on Thursday, the Box office India.com divulged that the Hindi version of the movie has already grossed Rs 245 crore in just seven days at the box office.
The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishna, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah in lead roles. The film which was shot in Telugu was later dubbed in the other languages along with Hindi.
Though Rana Daggubati starred in few Hindi movies like Dum Maro Dum, Department, Baby and The Ghazi Attack, Prabhas is not a known face to Hindi audience.
The film which has been breaking records went beyond the biggest Hind blockbusters of the decade including Salman Khan’s film Sultan that earned Rs 208.99 crores in its first week. It is ahead with a 17 percent and broke the record.
The film released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi versions got a great response not only in the south but also in the north.
The record-smashing film is being widely appreciated by many bigwigs in the film industry.
