Aruna casts doubts on KCR govtas double bed room houses plan
Hyderabad:ADemanding that the State Government reveal when it would complete construction of 2.60 lakh double bed room houses, Congress MLA DK Aruna has asked the KCR government whether it would again go to election while showcasing the double bed rooms constructed so far.
Participating in a short discussion on a?Weaker Section Housing, including Rajiv Swagruha, Rajiv Gruhakalpa and double bed room housesa? in the Assembly on Tuesday, Aruna questioned the government what it was doing for the last two-and-a-half years. It has constructed only 1,200 double bed room houses. She also asked the government to reveal the report of CID probe into Indiramma Housing Scheme scam and the names of those involved.
She also said present ministers T Harish Rao, KT Rama Rao, Etela Rajender and MLA Konda Surekha have constructed Indiramma houses in their constituencies. a?There too corruption took placea?, she alleged and demanded to release Indiramma houses pending bills and complete the construction of Indiramma houses in pending.
Aruna also said there was a need to set up SHE teams in the House when the treasury benches tried to obstruct her speech, including Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy. Stating that Nayani was a friend of her late father Chittem Narasimha Reddy, she said it was not proper for the Home Minister to disturb her speech.
She said earlier the Telangana leaders used to criticize the Andhra leaders that they confined to their constituencies and neglecting Telangana region. But the Chief Minister, Irrigation Minister and IT Minister were developing their own constituencies and neglecting other constituencies, she said. At this juncture, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said the State Government was developing the entire State, irrespective of parties.
Continuing her speech, Aruna alleged that the State Government was constructing 2,000 double bed room houses in Siddipet constituency silently. The government also constructed double bed room houses in Erravalli and Narsannapet villages under Chief Ministeras home constituency Gajwel, she said and demanded that the State government construct such houses in all the constituencies in the State. She wondered whether the State government was trying to get benefit while showcasing the developments in Erravalli and Narsannapet villages in the 2019 elections. aNSS
