Army Convoy Attacked Near Srinagar

• One SSB jawan killed, 8 others injured

Srinagar: One jawan of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been killed and Eight others were injured when terrorists attacked a convoy in the outskirts of Srinagar on Friday evening. The soldiers were returning from duty. They belong to SSB convoy in Zakura. It was near a CRPF camp. Jawans retaliated but could not fire aggressively as there were civilians. The security forces have launched search operations. The attack took place at about 7 pm.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Archana Ramasundaram, Director General of SSB, after the attack. She will be visiting the attack area tomorrow.
