APCRDA distributes plots to farmers in capital villages
Amaravati: The AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has distributed plots to farmers of Navuluru, Bethapudi and Yerrabalem in Amaravati. The plots, in return of their lands given to the government for building the new capital, were handed over to the farmers through lottery system. CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar formally handed over the plot allotment and ownership letters to the beneficiaries on Friday.
Addressing the farmers, Sridhar said that officials have made changes to the layout plans to suit the requirements of the farmers. The CRDA is giving highest priority to the farmers in preparing layouts and also plots as they have made highest sacrifice by giving their lands to the government for the capital, he said. Sridhar said that the CRDA would start making infrastructure plans in the layouts where plots were given to the farmers both in the residential and commercial areas.
Sridhar said that the speed access roads works were in progress now and would be completed shortly. The APCRDA would take up formation of another seven roads in the capital region and complete them in the next 14 months. The government has opened 4 registration offices in the capital region to facilitate the farmers to sell or buy their plots.
The farmers of Navuluru and Bethapudi have given 1455.11 acres of land to the capital in pooling. The APCRDA had given 1713 plots spread over 10, 41,000 square yards of land in the residential area to the farmers of these villages in return of their lands. Similarly, in the commercial area, the farmers were given 14-8 plots spread over 466,140 square yards.
Similarly, in Yerrabalem, where 1,499 farmers have given 1,364.32 acres of land in pooling for the capital A�has been given 13,37,950 square yards of land in 1922 plots in residential area and 6,02,820 square yards of land in 1584 plots in commercial area.
Guntur District Joint Collector Krutika Sukla, Mangalagiri Municipal Chairman Ganji Chiranjeevi, local leaders Akula Jayasatya, Mannem Ramesh, Boddu Venkatappaiah, Thota Narasimha Swamy, Durga Rao, Palagani Tata Rao, CRDA Planning Director R Ramakrishna Rao, senior planning officer, G Nageswara Rao, Lands Director B L Chennakesava Rao and others were present.
