AP Slammed For Poor Relief To Satyam Babu
Hyderabad: CPI general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy has alleged that the Andhra Pradesh State government had announced only Rs 1 lakh compensation to Satyam Babu, who was honourably acquitted by the Hyderabad High Court in the sensational Ayesha murder case, because he was a Dalit.
Speaking to media persons at the Maqdoom Bhavan here on Saturday, Suravaram alleged that the Andhra Pradesh government misused the judiciary and police machinery in the Ayesha Meera murder case.
“Besides, Andhra Pradesh government announced merely Rs 1 lakh compensation to Satyam Babu, who spent his precious life in jail for eight years for no fault of his because he was a Dalit”, he alleged.
Faulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi government, the CPI leader alleged that the BJP-led NDA government was troubling the people with demonetisation of big currency notes as it miserably failed to uncover black money. He also demanded that the Modi government withdraw the new laws.
CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that the Telangana Assembly buried democratic values. He lashed out at the ruling party saying it was not giving due respect to the Opposition parties.
He also said they would launch movement against the state government on G.O.No.123 and their failures.
