AP invites US investors to Partnership Summit
- Vizag to host the meet on Jan 27 & 28
Vijayawada: A delegation of the Government of Andhra Pradesh led by Minister of Human Resource Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao recently visited the United for investment promotion activities and to invite delegates to attend the Partnership Summit to be held on January 27 and 28, 2017 in Visakhapatnam.
The delegation included Aditya Nath Das, Principal Secretary (School Education) and Krishna Kishore, CEO, Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB). The team attended the ‘India-USA Synergy Event’ in Los Angeles where the minister and Krishna Kishore made presentations on Sunrise Andhra Pradesh and invited delegates to attend the Partnership Summit.
The ‘India-USA Synergy Event’ is a full-day conference focusing on US- India cross-border investment, trade, manufacturing, media, education and tourism. The delegation also visited several cities in U.S including Los Angeles, San Jose, Washington D.C and New York to interact with potential investors, according to a press release.
The APEDB delegation met World Trade Organisation (WTO) officials in New York and they evinced interest in building a World Trade Center in Amaravati. Several companies including Pfizer, MasterCard, Aecom expressed interest to invest in Andhra Pradesh, the press release said.
