AP Did Not Get Justice from Finance Commission – Naidu
KURNOOL: A P Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Friday that the state did not get justice from the 14th Finance Commission.
He was addressing a function after inaugurating Social empowerment mission. Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu had surplus budgets, whereas Andhra Pradesh was facing heavy deficit budget, he said and added ‘we cannot compete with them even if we work hard for five years’.
‘We will request the Centre to sanction more assistance for development of the State’, Mr. Naidu said.
Launching a scathing attack on the Congress for bifurcation, the AP chief minister said Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated without taking into consideration the sentiments of the people of Andhra. Though the state was facing a financial crisis, he would not go back on his promise of striving for its development’, he said.
He said Kurnool would be developed into a mega tourism circle as it had a number of temples. (NSS)
