AP CM Inspects Tirupati Slums
Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Baidu has undertaken inspection of facilities in the scavengers colony in the town on Friday. He mingled with the residents and inquired about their problems. He promised to build multi-storied buildings in place of slums. Those who have residential plots would be helped in constructing permanent houses, he said. The poor people who don’t own any piece of land would be accommodated in the houses to be constructed in the outskirts.
Earlier when Naidu came down from Tirumala, where he stayed in the night, TDP leaders and workers gave him a huge welcome at Alipiri. To express their gratitude to the chief minister for arranging loan facility, the DWACRA women groups organised a cake which Naidu has cut. Naidu appealed to one and all to cooperate with the government in developing Tirupati as a beautiful city.
